By Finoways Research Team · Published 19 Oct 2026, 07:31 UAE · Bitcoin (BTC/USD), Ethereum (ETH/USD), Solana (SOL/USD), BNB (BNB/USD)

Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and BNB posted modest daily gains, but all four remain below their 20-day averages. Bitcoin is holding above its pivot, while Ethereum, Solana and BNB remain in weaker medium-term positions with negative 20-day performance. RSI readings range from 40 to 51, indicating neutral-to-soft momentum rather than an extreme condition. The scheduled US events are low impact and may create only limited short-term volatility in crypto markets.

Bitcoin (BTC/USD)

Neutral82,488

Bitcoin closed at 82488, up 1.36% on the day, but remains down 0.73% over five days and 1.22% over 20 days. The close is above the daily pivot at 81254 and above the 50-day average at 81408, while it remains below the 20-day average at 83357 and the 20-day exponential average at 82610.

The 14-day RSI, a momentum measure from 0 to 100, is 51, showing balanced momentum. Holding above 81254 would keep the recent recovery structure intact, while a move below 80858 would expose the lower support area. On the upside, the last high at 82682 and the 20-day average at 83357 are the first areas to monitor.

Bullish scenarioIf Bitcoin holds above 81254 and clears 82682, attention would turn to the 20-day average at 83357 while the 20-day range high at 87146 remains a wider reference.
Bearish scenarioIf Bitcoin falls below 80858, the next downside area to monitor would be the pivot at 81254 no longer holding and the 20-day low at 79736.

Ethereum (ETH/USD)

Bearish2,423

Ethereum is below both its 20-day average at 2558 and 50-day average at 2551, with a weak recent range between 2321 and 2774.

Ethereum closed at 2423, up 0.95% on the day, but remains down 2.96% over five days and 9.89% over 20 days. The price is above the pivot at 2398, yet remains below the 20-day average at 2558, the 50-day average at 2551 and the 20-day exponential average at 2515.

The 14-day RSI is 40, indicating soft momentum without an extreme reading. A sustained hold above 2398 would keep the latest bounce active, with 2440 and 2480 as nearby resistance. A break below 2358 would bring the 20-day low at 2321 into focus.

Bullish scenarioIf Ethereum holds above 2398 and moves through 2440, the next areas to watch would be 2480 and the 20-day exponential average at 2515.
Bearish scenarioIf Ethereum breaks below 2358, the 20-day low at 2321 would become the next downside level to monitor.

Solana (SOL/USD)

Bearish105.25

Solana is below its 20-day average at 112.37 and 50-day average at 109.34, while trading near the lower half of its 20-day range from 101.03 to 123.48.

Solana closed at 105.25, up 1.88% on the day, but is down 1.38% over five days and 11.43% over 20 days. The close is above the pivot at 103.26 and slightly above the pivot resistance at 105.14, but it remains below the 20-day average at 112.37, the 50-day average at 109.34 and the 20-day exponential average at 109.50.

The 14-day RSI is 41.56, reflecting soft momentum. Holding above 103.26 would support the short-term recovery attempt, while the last high at 105.45 and pivot resistance at 106.97 are immediate areas to watch. A loss of 101.43 would weaken the structure toward the 20-day low at 101.03.

Bullish scenarioIf Solana holds above 103.26 and clears 105.45, the next resistance area to monitor would be 106.97, followed by the 50-day average at 109.34.
Bearish scenarioIf Solana moves below 101.43, attention would turn to the 20-day low at 101.03 and then the pivot support at 99.54.

BNB (BNB/USD)

Bearish725.4

BNB remains below its 20-day average at 753.1 and 50-day average at 745.7, with the recent range extending from 710 to 808.4.

BNB closed at 725.4, up 1.17% on the day, but is down 2.11% over five days and 5.03% over 20 days. The close is above the pivot at 716.4 and the 20-day low at 710, but remains below the 20-day average at 753.1, the 50-day average at 745.7 and the 20-day exponential average at 743.7.

The 14-day RSI is 42.4, showing soft but not extreme momentum. The last high at 727.3 and pivot resistance at 728.5 are the first upside areas to monitor. Holding above 716.4 would preserve the recent rebound, while a move below 710.7 would put the 20-day low at 710 back in focus.

Bullish scenarioIf BNB holds above 716.4 and clears 728.5, the next broader resistance area to monitor would be the 50-day average at 745.7.
Bearish scenarioIf BNB falls below 710.7, the 20-day low at 710 would become the immediate downside level to watch.

The scheduled US releases over the next 48 hours are all marked as low impact, so their direct effect on crypto may be limited. The NAHB Housing Market Index is due Monday at 18:00 UAE, with a forecast of 31 versus 32 previously.

On Tuesday, ADP Weekly Employment Change is scheduled for 16:15 UAE. Building Permits and Housing Starts follow at 16:30 UAE, while Pending Home Sales is due at 18:00 UAE. Unexpectedly stronger or weaker readings can produce short-lived USD and risk-market volatility, so sudden moves around release times should be treated cautiously.

Algo insight: how a rules-based system treats today

A rules-based approach can treat the current conditions as mixed: Bitcoin is above its 50-day average, while all four instruments remain below their 20-day averages. The 14-day RSI readings are between 40 and 51, so momentum is soft to neutral rather than strongly stretched.

ATR, or Average True Range, estimates typical daily movement. Current ATR values are 2062 for Bitcoin, 94 for Ethereum, 4.62 for Solana and 19.3 for BNB. An algorithm may use these values to calibrate stop distance and reduce position size when volatility is high, rather than applying one fixed distance to every instrument.

Because the scheduled releases are low impact, a rules-based system may still monitor the stated UAE times but need not assume a major event-driven move. It can also require confirmation around pivots, moving averages and recent highs or lows, while avoiding new exposure during abrupt price expansion and checking liquidity across the relevant trading session.
